Fore Street: The Street of Blue Plaques
Posted: April 10th 2012
Make Yourself At Home
This is the flyer that Penny Rutterford is currently presenting to some of the businesses in Fore Street, Edmonton. Artist Danny Coope has researched historical records for previous residents and businesses around the early 1900s. Danny is now preparing Blue Plaques to commemmorate a selection of them in the style of the blue heritage plaque schemes which can now be found around the world. The people in this collection of plaques may not be world renowned but the lives of past Edmonton residents will be celebrated in this work which will be exhibited from 27 April - 27 May (Or until the businesses decide to take the plaques down).
This project is a part of Make Yourself At Home
a programme of events taking place in Edmonton and is coordinated by Artillery.
