Artillery have collaborated with producers Create and Barbican over the six years of this free weekend programme of music, theatre, dance, arts crafts and food. Each year Artillery has been invited to curate the moated island in Lloyd Park behind the award winning William Morris Gallery. In 2019, Artillery launched their latest project Grandad’s Island: from Page to Pavement at this event by creating “Grandad’s Island” inspired by the picture book of that name by local author illustrator Benji Davies. Over the weekend Artillery welcomed more than 6,000 visitors as audiences and participants in creative activities to launch this project.
